Karva is a driving-tracking app built with privacy as the default. This page explains exactly what stays on your device and what, if anything, is shared.
All of the above are stored locally on your iPhone. Karva has no server-side storage for routes, photos, or media of any kind.
Signing in to the Leaderboard is entirely optional and uses Sign in with Apple. If you choose to sign in, the following is sent to our backend (a Cloudflare Worker) so you can appear on the leaderboard and community feed:
We do not receive your routes, photos, videos, or precise location history — only the aggregate and summary figures listed above.
We use Sign in with Apple to authenticate leaderboard participants. We receive only the identity token Apple provides (a stable user identifier) and, optionally, the name you choose to share. We do not receive your Apple ID email or password.
Karva does not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or third-party trackers. If you choose to share a drive card to Instagram Stories, that action goes directly through Apple's share sheet or Instagram's official app — Karva does not transmit that image anywhere else.
Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. To remove your leaderboard entry (display name and mileage) from our backend, contact us using the details below and we will delete your account record.
